Hi everyone, thanks for the visit!
My name is Kat Smirnoff and I am an artist and illustrator based in Greater Sydney, Australia.
Having grown up in the Lithuanian countryside I developed a deep love for the outdoors and nature which then became the biggest inspiration for my work. My connection with the natural world, plants and animals can be easily seen in all my designs, illustrations and murals.
In 2017, I created Kat’s Mural Art. Since then, I have been successfully applying my art on the walls of numerous child care centres, hospitals, clinics, restaurants and cafés, as well as private residences in Brisbane and Sydney.
My preferred art medium is watercolour and acrylic. More recently I have also developed a passion for digital painting and illustrating. My most recent project is the illustration of
What I stand for 🌱
I am conscious of the pressure we humans are putting on our planet and therefore I always try my best to live sustainably, environmentally friendly, kindly and lovingly. I fight for equality not only among humans but also between humans and animals. This is a part of the message I aim to spread through my work.
In this respect, sometimes I have to make the tough decision, not to take on a project that I feel isn't in line with my beliefs. If you are looking for a design that in some way implies violence, racism, sexism, or speciesism, don't be offended if say no. If you're however ready to spread the message of love, get in touch and let's work on it together!
